BUCKHANNON — The new Rotary Club of Buckhannon-Upshur last week gave thanks to local artist and Chapel Hill United Methodist Church member and volunteer Sheri Gaudet for her help in assisting the club with luncheons since it formed earlier this year.
Rotary Club President Dr. Dan Martin and member Julie Keehner presented Gaudet with a certificate naming her an honorary member of the Rotary Club of Buckhannon-Upshur, as well as some Christmas spending money as a special thank-you during its Dec. 17 meeting.
Martin said Gaudet has played a crucial role in helping organize the cooking, serving and cleanup of Rotary’s noon meals every Thursday since it began meeting several months ago in Engle Hall at Chapel Hill UMC.
