NEW ORLEANS – West Virginia Wesleyan sprinters Faith Gandy, Ny’Tierra Hobbs and Tanner Faulkiner were named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Atlantic Region Team. The top five individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors.
Gandy, a junior from Washington, Pa., took home all-region honors in the 100 meters. Gandy holds the outdoor school record in the 100m and finished first in the 100m at the 2021 Mountain East Conference Championships.
Hobbs earned all-region accolades in the 100 and 200 meters. Hobbs was the MEC Track Athlete of the Year and claimed the 100 and 200 meter titles at the MEC Outdoor Championships. The Baltimore, Md., native notched a qualification for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 100 meters.
Faulkiner garnered all-region honors in the 100 meters. The Philippi, W.V. native ran a 10.93 and took second place in the MEC Championships. Faulkiner earned Second Team All-MEC for his performance in Glenville.
