Thomas Warren Adams

Thomas Warren Adams of Buckhannon, West Virginia, passed away on March 28, 2026, at the age of 76 after a brief illness. He was born on April 29, 1949, in Buckhannon, West Virginia.

He graduated from Buckhannon-Upshur High School and West Virginia Business College. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife of 34 years, Arlene Adams.

He was preceded in death by his father, Argil Woodrow Adams; mother, Edna Jane Adams; son-in-law, Randy Brooks; and stepdaughter, Teresa Wagner.

He is survived by his loving wife, Arlene Adams. He was a loving stepfather to Rodney (Margie) Burr of Camden, West Virginia; Rhonda Brooks of Buckhannon, West Virginia; Tina (William) Bowman of Buckhannon, West Virginia; Richard Burr of Hagerstown, Maryland; Frank Burr of Buckhannon, West Virginia; Angela Hyre of Charleston, West Virginia; Julia (Scott) Foster of Rock Cave, West Virginia; Tommy (Amanda) Durant of Buckhannon, West Virginia; Tony Durant of Buckhannon, West Virginia; Linda (Rick) Dye of Virginia; Sherry Durant of Belington, West Virginia; and Jerry Squires of Buckhannon, West Virginia. He was a constant source of love, wisdom, and laughter in their lives.

He is also survived by one brother, James Adams, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom he adored.

Tom was a decorated Vietnam veteran, earning two Purple Hearts, and remembered for his immense sacrifice and courage. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 34 years of service.

He was an avid model train collector, ham radio enthusiast, and enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, witty remarks, dedication to family, and love for getting a great deal on a new car.

Friends will be received Monday, April 6, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Burial will follow in the Buckhannon Memorial Park in Buckhannon.
