This week’s Hank Ellis All-Stars: Wyatt Morris and Mia Sappey

BUCKHANNON – My Buckhannon is proud to present another edition of the Hank Ellis All-Stars. Each week we will select a male and female athlete at Buckhannon-Upshur who has had an exemplary week on the football field, soccer field, volleyball court, golf course or the cross-country course.

Our Hank Ellis All-Stars for the week of Sept. 11 – Sept. 17 are Wyatt Morris and Mia Sappey.

Morris is a junior tailback on the Buckhannon-Upshur football team. In a 21-0 win over Elkins Friday night, Morris ran for 111 yards on 29 carries and scored two touchdowns at the Bucs improved their record to 2-2 on the season.

Sappey is a senior on the Buckhannon-Upshur cross-country team. Sappey helped the Lady Bucs to a runner-up finish in the Forest Festival Invitational. Sappey had a top 10 finish in the race placing ninth with a time of 24:36.15.

Congratulations to Morris and Sappey as our weekly winners of the Hank Ellis All-Stars honor.
