This week’s Hank Ellis All-Stars: Rylen Carlyle and Dawson Tenney

My Buckhannon is proud to present another spring of the Hank Ellis All-Stars. Each week, we will select a male and female athlete at Buckhannon-Upshur who has had an exemplary week on the baseball and softball diamonds, lacrosse fields, the track, and tennis courts.

Our Hank Ellis All-Stars for the week of May 18–May 25 are Rylen Carlyle and Dawson Tenney.

Carlyle is a junior on the Lady Buc track and field team. At the state track meet, she placed fourth in the long jump with a leap of 16-01.25. She also placed 12th in the preliminaries of the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.32 and 13th in the finals of the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 52.65.

Tenney is a senior on the Buccaneer baseball team. In two games in the South Region Tournament, he hit .600 with two RBIs, a double and a stolen base.

Congratulations to Carlyle and Tenney as our weekly winners of the Hank Ellis All-Stars honor.
