This week’s Hank Ellis All-Stars: Reagan Mason, Coby Smith and Dawson Tenney

BUCKHANNON – My Buckhannon is proud to present another fall season of the Hank Ellis All-Stars. Each week, we will select a male and female athlete at Buckhannon-Upshur who has had an exemplary week on the football field, soccer field, cross country course, volleyball court, or golf course.

Our Hank Ellis All-Stars for the week of Oct. 6 – Oct. 12 are  Reagan Mason, Coby Smith and Dawson Tenney.

Mason is a senior on the Lady Buc volleyball team. She had a record-breaking week, recording her 1,000th assist against Preston last Tuesday in a Blue and White uniform, which is also a school record. In a 2-1 week for B-U, where they defeated Preston and Robert C. Byrd, she had 32 assists, including 17 against the Eagles. She also had 31 digs, five kills, four aces and two blocks total for the week.

Smith is a junior on the Buccaneer soccer team. In a 1-1 week for the Bucs, Smith was unstoppable in their 6-5 win over the Lewis County Minutemen with four goals and an assist, including having the game-winning goal in the 61st minute.

Tenney is a senior quarterback on the Buccaneer football team. Tenney led the B-U offense in a 10-7 win over Lewis County, which ended a 16-game losing streak for the Bucs. Tenney paced the Bucs with 177 yards rushing while throwing for 123 yards and catching one pass for 11 yards.

Congratulations to Mason, Smith and Tenney as our weekly winners of the Hank Ellis All-Stars honor.
