My Buckhannon is proud to present another year of the Hank Ellis All-Stars. Each week, we will select a male and female athlete at Buckhannon-Upshur who has had an exemplary week on the basketball court, swimming pool or wrestling mat.
Our Hank Ellis All-Stars for the week of Jan. 5 – Jan. 11 are Olivia Blonn and Xavier Robinette.
Blonn is a junior on the B-U wrestling team. She won the Danny Silman Memorial Tournament at 185 pounds. She recorded four pins, and none of her matches ever made it out of the first period.
Robinette is a junior on the Buccaneer basketball team. In a 2-1 week for the Bucs, he averaged 15.7 points per game and 6.3 rebounds per game. His best outing was a 21-point, four-rebound effort in a 59-52 road win over Cabell Midland.
