My Buckhannon is proud to present another year of the Hank Ellis All-Stars. Each week, we will select a male and female athlete at Buckhannon-Upshur who has had an exemplary week on the basketball court, swimming pool or wrestling mat.

Our Hank Ellis All-Stars for the week of Jan. 25 – Feb. 1 are Mallory Hughes and Grayson Colburn.

Hughes is a senior on the Lady Buc swim team. At the Big 10 Conference meet in Bridgeport, she took second in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.37 and second in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 57.62.

Grayson Colburn is a junior on the Buccaneer swim team. In the conference championships at Bridgeport, he had the top individual finishes for the Bucs as he placed third in the 500-yard freestyle (5:55.18) and seventh in the 100-yard backstroke (1:10.45). He was also part of the 400-yard freestyle relay team that finished third and the 200-yard freestyle relay unit that finished sixth.
