This week’s Hank Ellis All-Stars: Malaki Williams and Mallory Moss

BUCKHANNON – My Buckhannon is proud to present another edition of the Hank Ellis All-Stars. Each week, we will select a female and male athlete at Buckhannon-Upshur who has had an exemplary week on the baseball and softball diamonds, the track and field, the lacrosse field, or the tennis courts.

Our Hank Ellis All-Stars for the week of April 29 – May 5 are Malaki Williams and Mallory Moss.

Williams is a senior on the Buccaneer track and field team. In the Big 10 Conference Championships at Robert C. Byrd High School, he won the conference title in the high jump, clearing 6-4. He was also part of three relay teams (the 4×100, the 4×220 and the 4×400) that all took runner-up honors. He helped the Bucs to a second-place finish.

Moss is a sophomore on the Lady Buc lacrosse team. She had a big hand in their 17-3 win over St. Albans in their playoff opener Friday night. She led the team with six goals on eight shots-on-goal, won 11 draw controls, and collected four ground balls.

Congratulations to Williams and Moss as our weekly winners of the Hank Ellis All-Stars honor.
