BUCKHANNON – My Buckhannon is proud to present another edition of the Hank Ellis All-Stars. Each week we will select a female and male athlete at Buckhannon-Upshur that has had an exemplary week on the football field, soccer field, volleyball court or the cross country course.

Our Hank Ellis All-Stars for the week of August 22 – August 28 are Jack Waggy and Lydia Falkenstein.

Waggy is a sophomore on the Buccaneer cross country team. Last week at the Preston Knight Night Relays, Waggy helped the Bucs to a runner-up spot out of 26 teams. Waggy’s split time of 7:39.51 was the fourth-best time out of 134 runners.

Falkenstein is a senior on the Buckhannon-Upshur Lady Buc cross country team. At the Preston Knight Night Relays, she helped the Lady Bucs to a fourth-place finish out of 25 teams. Her split time of 8:48.63 landed her in third place out of 126 runners.
