My Buckhannon is proud to present another spring of the Hank Ellis All-Stars. Each week, we will select a male and female athlete at Buckhannon-Upshur who has had an exemplary week on the baseball and softball diamonds, lacrosse fields, the track, and tennis courts.
Our Hank Ellis All-Stars for the week of April 6 – April 12 are Gwen Rogosky and Tobias Marple.
Rogosky is a sophomore on the Lady Buc track and field team. In an 11-team meet at Philip Barbour, she won first place in the 3200 meters (13:27.69) and placed third in the 1600-meters (6:00.07). She was also part of the 4 x 800-meter relay team that took fourth.
Marple is a junior on the Buccaneer lacrosse team. In a 15-6 win over Mountain State, Marple scored three goals and added four assists. He added two goals and an assist in a contest with Morgantown.
Congratulations to Rogosky and Marple as our weekly winners of the Hank Ellis All-Stars honor.
