BUCKHANNON – My Buckhannon is proud to present another spring season of the Hank Ellis All-Stars. Each week, we will select a male and female athlete at Buckhannon-Upshur who has had an exemplary week on the baseball or softball diamond, the track, the lacrosse field or the tennis courts.

Our Hank Ellis All-Stars for the week of March 31 – April 6 are Brody McDaniels and Kynnedy Marple.

McDaniels is a sophomore on the Buccaneer baseball team. In a 1-1 week for the Bucs, he hit .333, driving in two runs, and had a multi-hit game against Robert C. Byrd. He also picked up the win on the mound against Riverside in a 4-1 victory, throwing 3 2/3 innings of scoreless relief, allowing just two hits and striking out five.

Marple is a sophomore on the Lady Buc softball team. In a 10-2 road win over Robert C. Byrd, she pitched a complete game, allowing just two hits and one walk while striking out 12 batters. At the plate, she had a hit and scored a run in the win over the Eagles.
