Thelma A. Cutright Humphrey Peck

Thelma A. Cutright Humphrey Peck, 87, of Hesper Road, Buckhannon, WV, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at home surrounded by loving family due to an extended illness. She was born July 7, 1937, in Philippi, a daughter of the late Henry and Mary Phillips Cutright.

In addition to her parents, Thelma was also preceded in death by her first husband Minter J. Humphrey, second husband Cecil J. Peck, two daughters: Sue and Carol, one granddaughter Debbie, three sisters: Mary, Nellie, Teta, and three brothers: Chet, Henry, and Buster.

She is survived by two brothers that cherish her memory: Bob and Bud, two daughters: Betty Jo and Liza, six sons: Wayne and wife Della, Troy and wife Bertha, Elmer, Minter, Russell, and Dana, three stepchildren: Nancy, Ronnie, and Cecil (Bub), twelve granddaughters: Tricia and husband Ralph, Melissa and husband Paul, Opeal and husband Terry, Billie, Carol and husband Paul, Eliza, Hulda, Annie and husband Gopher, Mary, Jessica and fiancé Wesley, Hannah, and Abby, six step granddaughters: Karla, Deleta and husband Bobby, Valerie, Leticia, Patricia, and Barbara, seven grandsons: Tim and wife Brenda, Russell and wife Jamie, Georgie, Scotty, Brian, little Troy, and Timmy, one step grandson James, eighteen great granddaughters: Savannah, Hailee, Zaylea, Brenda, Charity, Tasha, Cassie, Virginia, Octavia, Elizabeth, Sarah, Chasity and husband Bryson, Maceala and husband Nick, Tori, Shakia, Cadence, Jacklyn, Tiffani and husband Cody, fifteen great grandsons: Isaac and wife Nicole, Tommy and fiancée Nikki, Nathan and wife Mercedes, Brayden, Gobber, Dalton, little Scotty, Ben, little George, Austin, Berlin, Corey and wife Brittany, Brent, Ty, and Jacob, four step great granddaughters: Lynzy, Emma, Clara, and Georgia, seven step great grandsons: Gage, Gavin, Nathan, Triston, Damion, Dillion, and Mathew, nine great-great granddaughters: Emily, Kyligh, Hayley, Kaitie, Paislea, Mia, Macey, Tay, Madilynn, eleven great-great grandsons: Levi, Ben, Bryllon, Jackson, Johnathan, Ryder, Tracen, Maddox, Aaron, Marerick, Bristol and wife Haley, one step great-great grandson Kal, one step great-great granddaughter Ivy, and several nieces and nephews.

Thelma volunteered at the Salvation Army. She enjoyed taking walks, taking care of her grandkids, spending time with family and friends, and doing puzzle books.

Friends may call at the family home at 60 Hesper Road, Buckhannon from 4-6:00 PM on Saturday, August 31, 2024. The funeral will be held at the family home at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 1, 2024, with Reverend Wease Day officiating. Interment will follow in the Bennett Cemetery.
