Because it’s regular March meeting was postponed due to the pandemic, the Buckhannon Upshur Camera Club had a Facebook photo contest during the period of April 5-10.
Members of the club’s Facebook page were invited to submit one photo during this time and the topic was “mysterious.”
Carla Griekspoor was the winner, with her photo entitled “The Mist”. There were an impressive 17 photos entered with 31 votes cast.

Kathy Lou McCartney, 58, of French Creek, WV, died on March 9, 2026, at Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins. She served in the U.S. Army and was a devoted homemaker and mother of three.
Everett Raymond Davis, 85, of French Creek, WV, died on March 5, 2026, at the home of a dear friend in Lusby, MD. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served as a Metropolitan Police officer and U.S. Marshal.
Julie Marie Dean, 79, of Buckhannon, WV, died March 8, 2026, at her home. She was a Registered Nurse and is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and siblings.
