Stonewall Resort to host Memorial Weekend fireworks display May 26

Weston, W.Va. – Stonewall Resort will host their annual Memorial Weekend fireworks display over the lake on Sunday, May 26. The event is open to the public with a park entry fee of $10 per vehicle. Additionally, the resort will host a special Fireworks Dinner Party at Lightburn’s Restaurant that evening.

“We pride ourselves in putting on a top-notch fireworks display in celebration of Memorial Day and to honor the women and men who lost their lives in service our country,” said Andre’ D’Amour, resort general manager. “Both day- and overnight-guests can also take advantage of a wide variety of resort activities and amenities occurring throughout the weekend.”

D’Amour said the resort will offer a variety of lawn games and other activities from Friday, May 24 through Monday, May 27.  All day-guests and overnight visitors can also purchase an Outfitters Pass which grants access to recreation equipment rentals, to include kayaks, canoes, and stand-up paddle boards. Bikes rentals are also available in the property’s Recreation Center. Guests also have access to much of the property to include the restaurants, golf course, marina and lake, spa, more than 23 miles of hiking and biking trails.

On Sunday evening (May 26), the resort will host a Fireworks Dinner Party at Lightburn’s Restaurant from 6:30pm-9pm. The event, open to the public with a reservation, features a delectable buffet dinner highlighting Appalachian ingredients and offers the perfect spot to watch the fireworks display.

The evening menu includes creamy battered chicken, grilled New York Strip with Appalachian Compound Butter, roasted Eggplant Marsala, Appalachian Shrimp Boil Pasta and a host of delicious accompaniments, to include sides, salads, and desserts.
