Stonewall Resort to debut craft beer lineup during special culinary dinner Feb. 23

WESTON, W.Va. – Working with the World Beer Cup, gold medal winning Parkersburg Brewing Company, Stonewall Resort is proud to debut a unique lineup of craft beers during a special four-course beer pairing dinner on Feb. 23.

The craft beers that will be featured during this dinner will be available to our guests and craft beer consumers across the state.

“Our collaboration with Parkersburg Brewing Company has resulted in a very unique and delicious offering of craft beers,” said Andre’ D’ Amour, Stonewall Resort General Manager.  “Both our companies believe in blazing new trails, creating memorable experiences and having fun.  I believe guests will see that represented in this new beer lineup.”

D’ Amour said the beer lineup includes: Campfire Reserve Milk Stout, Spa Daze Raspberry Berliner Weisse, Zen Juice Blood Orange Infused Hefeweizen, and Natural Genius 1082 DDH India Pale Ale.

Campfire Reserve Milk Stout: This milk stout is the perfect companion to a chocolatey, gooey lakeside s’more! Dark and rich with the perfect balance of lactose sweetness, roasty malts and slight hop bitterness, this beer will be your new fireside favorite.

Spa Daze Raspberry Berliner Weisse: Sit back, relax and indulge in this raspberry retreat! Added near the end of fermentation, fresh raspberry gives this Berliner Weisse an exciting twist that’ll fill your senses with memories of summer. This delicious brew is a refreshing spa day for the taste buds!

Zen Juice Blood Orange Infused Hefeweizen: The inspired addition of mouthwatering blood oranges near the end of fermentation enlighten the traditional German malts and yeast in this Hefeweizen. This light and flavorful beer features notes of citrus as well as the subtle banana and clove that you would expect. Take this brew lakeside, topside or poolside on your journey to Zen.

Natural Genius 1082 DDH India Pale Ale: A wise artist once said, “A sense of timing is the mark of a genius.” We couldn’t agree more. Natural Genius 1082 is double dry-hopped with the perfectly-timed additions of Citra and Amarillo hops at the end of fermentation.  The reward for good timing is an incredibly juicy, aromatic and drinkable IPA that is low on bitterness and bursting with tropical, citrusy flavor!

Stonewall Resort will debut the new craft brews during the Craft Beer Dinner, taking place on Saturday, Feb. 23. This intimate event begins with a surprise “welcome beer” from Parkersburg Brewing in a souvenir Stonewall snifter glass at 6 p.m., followed by a plated dinner at 6:30 p.m.

Stonewall Executive Chef Nevil Barr and Dan Curtis, Brew Master at Parkersburg Brewing, will be on hand to guide guests through each course and pairing. The event will offer a perfectly paired menu featuring: Duck Three Ways paired with the refreshing and lightly tart raspberry Berliner Weisse; Baby Spinach Salad paired with a traditional Hefeweizen infused with blood oranges; Veal Osso Bucco paired with a juicy IPA double dry hopped with Amarillo and Citra hops; and, an Espresso Sponge Cake paired with a roasty yet smooth Milk Stout.

This cost for the event, which includes entry to the culinary event, four-course dinner, five uniquely crafted beers, souvenir glass and overnight accommodations, is $319 per couple. For non-overnight guests, a la carte pricing is available at $95 per person.
