Stonewall Resort hosts month-long lineup of holiday events in December

From breakfast with Santa to a murder mystery dinner, Stonewall Resort offers a variety of holiday activities throughout December.

Stonewall Resort will host a series of holiday-themed events and activities throughout December that will appeal to everyone — from children and families to those interested in spending the season with friends or that special someone, according to a press release.

“We call these event and activity filled weekends our ‘Holiday Traditions’ and we encourage people to celebrate this special time of the year with family or loved-ones in the cozy, amenity-filled confines of Stonewall Resort,” said André D’Amour, general manager of Stonewall Resort.

D’Amour said the following activities and events will be offered throughout the month:

Breakfast & Brunch with Santa — Featuring a festive menu of breakfast and brunch favorites and a magical visit from Santa and his elves. Saturdays include breakfast with Santa from 7-11 a.m. (Santa appearing 9-10:30 a.m.), while Sundays offer brunch from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. (Santa on site 11 a.m.-1 p.m.). Reservations are encouraged.

Iconic Christmas Characters DJ Showdown, Dec. 6 — This high-energy event for ages 21+ features a holiday DJ battle starring Santa and the Grinch spinning festive beats and party anthems. Guests are encouraged to don their best Christmas icon costumes for a chance to win prizes.

Holly Jolly Murder Mystery Dinner, Dec. 13 — Guests will be immersed in a spirited whodunit as chaos reigns at Bloomingdale’s Department Store when the annual Holiday Santa Claus is found murdered. The evening includes an interactive murder mystery performance and a three-course dinner.

Christmas Eve Dinner, Dec. 24 — A special Christmas Eve dinner buffet in Stillwaters Restaurant will be offered from 5-8 p.m. Reservations are required and can be made by calling (304) 269-8880.

Christmas Day Lunch & Dinner, Dec. 25 — Offered in Stillwaters Restaurant lakeside from 11 a.m.-7 p.m., guests will enjoy menus tailored for the holiday. Reservations are required and can be made by calling (304) 269-8880.

The resort will also ring in the New Year with multiple party options, each including dinner, music and dancing.
