Stonewall Resort Easter Scavenger Hunt helps promote area businesses, attractions

Weston, W.Va. – Stonewall Resort’s Second Annual Easter Scavenger Hunt, set for Saturday, April 16, was created to highlight businesses and attractions in Lewis County while also providing a fun and entertaining activity for resort guests.

“Lewis County is a charming and vibrant community, and we want to do our part to encourage guests at Stonewall Resort to explore the area and its businesses as much as we can,” said Andre’ D’Amour, general manager at Stonewall Resort. “A majority of our overnight guests come from our markets such as Washington DC and Pittsburgh, as well as from within our home state.”

D’Amour said the event, which is open to guests staying at the resort, will take place throughout the day on Saturday, April 16. Guests will receive clues that lead them to eleven area attractions and businesses as well as locations on the resort property. Guests have the opportunity to win a variety of prizes along the way, including the grand prize of a two-night bed and breakfast getaway.

Area businesses participating include: Ember Arts, Curated, Hometown Outfitters, Coffee House, Appalachian Oddities, Lamberts Winery, Glass Factory, Stonewall Sporting Clays, McFly Outdoors, and the Museum of American Glass.

Additionally, on Sunday, April 17, the resort will host its annual Easter Brunch (11am-3pm) & Dinner (5-9pm) in Stillwaters Restaurant. Reservations are required and can be made by calling (304) 269-8880.

Throughout the weekend, the resort will host a variety of fun activities, like lawn games, painting workshops, and visits by the Easter Bunny. Guests may also enjoy golfing on the Palmer Course, water activities on the lake, or hiking or biking the trails crisscrossing the property.

All day-guests and overnight visitors to the resort have access to recreation equipment rentals, to include a kayaks, canoes, stand-up paddle boards, and bikes. They also have access to much of the property to include the restaurants, golf course, marina and lake, spa, hiking and biking trails.
