St. Joseph’s Hospital welcomes the first baby of 2026

WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital rang in the new year with the birth of Charlotte Renea Mitchell at 4 a.m. Jan. 1.

WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital welcomed its first baby of the new year with the birth of Charlotte Renea Mitchell at 4 a.m. on January 1.

Charlotte weighed 7 pounds, 1 ounce and measured 20 inches long. She is the daughter of Linzy and Braden Mitchell.

Charlotte was delivered by Dr. Kimberly Farry, OB/GYN, and Amanda Ketterman, CNM. To commemorate the occasion, the St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxiliary presented a special gift to the family.
