BUCKHANNON – St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon recognized National Physician Assistant Week during the week of Oct. 8. This week celebrates the profession and its contributions to the nation’s health. It was first observed on Oct. 6, 1987 in honor of the 20th anniversary of the first graduating class of physician assistants from the Duke University PA program.
