St. Joseph’s Hospital recently honored two Valued Inspired Persons

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. — St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon recently honored two staff members as their Valued Inspired Person (VIP).  Honored were Kimberly Ice and Reverend Barry Moll.

Kimberly Ice works as a Registration Specialist in the Emergency Department.  Her co-workers say that she is always compassionate and friendly with all patients, visitors, and staff with whom she interacts. She is “the face of the hospital,” as she is one of the first people a patient sees when they come into the Emergency Department at night.  She gives patients warm blankets and water when they ask and brings all of their concerns to the nurses.

Co-workers know that when they come to work and see Kim, it will be a great night. Kim goes above and beyond her registration role; she helps clean rooms, make beds, and run blood samples to the lab. She is friendly, helpful, trustworthy, and compassionate.

Reverend Barry Moll is the Hospital Chaplain and an associate of Pastoral Care. His co-workers say he is the epitome of caring and compassion. He brings a positive attitude to everyone he meets and works with daily.  Barry is a joy to be around and has a zest for life that is contagious. It has been said that his entire being is reverent. He cares so deeply about the patients, staff and residents of St. Joseph’s Hospital; he even adjusts his hours to accommodate any needs of the hospital.

He is a devout Christian who served in West Virginia as a pastor for many years. Upon retiring, he moved to Buckhannon and we are honored to have such a wonderful individual to bless our hospital.
