Buckhannon-Upshur’s five-game win streak ended Monday with a 6-2 Big 10 loss at Lincoln after the Lady Bucs let a 2-0 lead slip away. Aspen Dyer’s two-run homer tied it, then the Cougars plated four in the fifth to pull away as B-U couldn’t rally late.
Wesleyan softball takes one of two at Concord
West Virginia Wesleyan split Sunday’s MEC doubleheader at Concord, rallying with a six-run fourth to win the opener 8-4 behind Morgan Greene’s complete game. Concord responded with an 11-2, five-inning win in game two, fueled by big third- and fourth-inning outbursts.

West Virginia Wesleyan split Sunday’s MEC doubleheader with Fairmont State in Morgantown, storming to an 8-6 Game 1 win before falling 6-1 in the nightcap. Carter Collins powered the opener and Alex Hernandez went the distance, but the Falcons’ late four-run sixth sealed Game 2.

Frostburg State jumped out to eight goals in the first 6:07 and never looked back, rolling past West Virginia Wesleyan 32-1 in MEC women’s lacrosse.
Lacrosse Bucs double up Jefferson County in 6-3 win
Tobias Marple scored four goals as Buckhannon-Upshur earned a 6-3 win over Jefferson County, taking a 4-2 halftime lead and holding on late. Gage Scott made 14 saves as the Bucs improved to 2-2 and head to George Washington on Tuesday.
Lacrosse Lady Bucs pick up big wins over University and Wheeling Park
Buckhannon-Upshur’s Lady Bucs enjoyed a perfect weekend, edging University 6-5 for the Hawks’ first loss before crushing Wheeling Park 18-2. Mallory Moss powered the offense in both wins as B-U improved to 3-1 and returns April 8 at John Marshall.
B-U tennis teams split action with North Marion
Buckhannon-Upshur split with North Marion as the boys swept 7-0 and improved to 1-0 in Big 10 play, while the girls fell 5-2. Coach Jason Rock praised the boys’ win but wants more intensity, and noted the Lady Bucs are improving despite a young varsity roster.

Buckhannon-Upshur’s Lady Bucs were shut out of WVSWA All-State postseason honors, even with senior Allie Key earning Big 10 First Team and leading the team in scoring (9.6 ppg) and rebounding (4.6 rpg).

West Virginia Wesleyan women’s tennis rolled past D’Youville 6-1 Saturday at the Wood Street Tennis Courts. The Bobcats won five of six singles matches and took two of three doubles, highlighted by Daria Godleweska’s comeback at No. 2.

West Virginia Wesleyan dropped both games of a road doubleheader at Glenville State, falling 9-1 in six innings and 3-1. The Bobcats struck first in Game 1, but errors and Hannah Howe’s five-RBI day swung it, while Glenville held on in a tight nightcap.
Softball Lady Bucs storm past Huskies for 10-4 win
Buckhannon-Upshur’s Lady Bucs broke open a tight game with a six-run sixth inning to beat North Marion 10-4, piling up 13 hits. Maddie Tucker had three hits, Marple earned the win, and Pastorius notched a save as B-U won its fifth straight to move to 6-1 (5-0 Big 10).
