Spaghetti on the menu at free community dinner Friday at the Parish House

On Friday, October 25 at 5 p.m., the WE LEAD Poverty Reduction team at West Virginia Wesleyan College will be hosting a free community dinner at the Upshur County Parish House.

The Poverty Reduction team, as well as student volunteers from Wesleyan, will be making spaghetti with a side salad and a fun Halloween themed dessert for dinner. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy a nice meal with the community. This is a great way for those in the Wesleyan and Buckhannon communities to intermingle and get to know one another better.

The Poverty Reduction team holds their community dinners once a month during the school year. These community dinners are for anyone who would like to have a warm meal. They have done various types of dinners over the years and have witnessed the impact that they have on people in the Buckhannon community. They love to see the people in the community come and enjoy nice conversations and warm meals. They encourage anyone that would like to come to the dinner to do so, all are welcome.

If you are unable to attend this month’s dinner they will be hosting their last dinner of the semester on November 16.
