Soccer Lady Bucs battle Fairmont Senior to 1-1 tie

FAIRMONT – All good things must come to an end and they did for the Buckhannon-Upshur Lady Bucs against the Fairmont Senior Polar Bears Thursday evening in Big 10 Conference action.

The Lady Bucs saw their seven-game winning streak come to an end but they were still able to earn a 1-1 draw with Fairmont Senior.

Tara Ashley sent in a corner kick that Maura Stark found the back of the net on to give Fairmont Senior a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute.

Fairmont Senior took that 1-0 lead into the intermission.

The Lady Bucs tied the game in the 45th minute when Kyleigh Keener put in an unassisted goal.
