Soccer Bobcats tumble at home to Seton Hill in 3-1 loss

BUCKHANNON — West Virginia Wesleyan men’s soccer team dropped its third straight contest Sunday, falling to Seton Hill University 3-1, in Buckhannon.

The Griffin’s Julian Marker broke through the Bobcat defense in the 24th minute to put Seton Hill on top. Assists went to Nils Heinrich and James Aubrey.

Heinrich (assist to Tom Frank) blasted a shot from 20-yards out eight minutes later for a 2-0 Griffin’s lead which it took to the halftime whistle.

Marker was again assisted by Aubrey at 66:55.

The Bobcats finally found the back of the net in the 87th minute. Lance Cerullo scored his first of the year with an assist by Samuel Hill.

Wesleyan (1-4-0, 1-3-0) goes on the road to play new Mountain East Conference member Point Park University (4-2-1, 3-2-1) Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 7:30 p.m.
