AUDRA — West Virginia State Police are investigating a reported shooting that occurred at Audra State Park on Saturday.
The initial call came in just before 7 p.m. Saturday, reporting that a two people had been shot near the parking lot area. Multiple units from Barbour, Upshur and Randolph counties responded and quickly secured the crime scene.
Several roads in the vicinity remained closed Saturday evening.

Everett Raymond Davis, 85, of French Creek, WV, died on March 5, 2026, at the home of a dear friend in Lusby, MD. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served as a Metropolitan Police officer and U.S. Marshal.
Julie Marie Dean, 79, of Buckhannon, WV, died March 8, 2026, at her home. She was a Registered Nurse and is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and siblings.
