Sherry Darlene Auskings

Sherry Darlene Auskings, 73, of Buckhannon, W.Va. died Saturday, February 29, 2020, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va.

She was born November 27, 1946, in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Jeral Archie and Mae Hollen Rowan.

On October 31, 1964, she married Lawrence Auskings who survives. Mrs. Auskings is also survived by one daughter, Deborah Pigott of Buckhannon; one son, Lawrence Auskings, Jr. of Buckhannon; two grandsons, Ryan Tomey and wife Nikki of Buckhannon and Nichalos Dahlheim and wife Carly of Fairmont, W.Va.; one granddaughter, Natasha Cobb of Buckhannon; two great grandsons, Kaiden Tomey and Kendrick Cobb both of Buckhannon; two great granddaughters Savannah Tomey and Milah Cobb both of Buckhannon; four brothers, Bob Rowan and Donald Rowan and wife Fely all of Buckhannon and Keith Rowan and wife Linda of Va. and Ronald Rowan of Charleston, W.Va. and special friends Dave Dotson and wife Marty, Linda Baker and Wanda Commander all of Texas.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one great grandson, Kolton Tomey; one son in law, Larry Pigott and one sister in law Pam Rowan.

Mrs. Auskings was a homemaker. She enjoyed going to yard sales and getting her hair and nails done. Mrs. Auskings was a loving mother and grandmother.

Friends will be received Tuesday, March 3, 2020, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Justin Bowers officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon.
