The Upshur County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents about a phone scam involving fake jury duty calls.

According to a social media post, the office has received reports from two individuals who received calls claiming they had missed jury duty. The callers falsely claim to represent federal and state jury duty offices and use the names of actual officers.
