BUCKHANNON — A mock disaster on Saturday, Nov. 4, marked the culmination of three weeks of classroom training for several local Community Emergency Response Team students who learned about disaster preparedness, fire suppression, medical aid and triage, search and rescue techniques, disaster psychology, and the Incident Command System.

Those graduating from the CERT class were: John Bess, Chrissy Sandy, Mary Dean, Cyrus Thompson, Gerald Thompson, Micah Burgett and Jack Monks.
