Search underway for missing Elkins-area woman

West Virginia State Police are searching for a 64-year-old woman who was last seen at a residence in Elkins in the early morning hours of Sunday, March 15.

Gabrielle L. Allen, of Vienna, was last seen shortly after midnight at a home on Rolling Lane. Trooper T.J. Sclimenti responded to a missing persons complaint at approximately 8:45 a.m.

Allen’s personal belongings have been located along US Route 219. She is diagnosed as bipolar and is currently taking several medications, according to the State Police.

Multiple agencies, including search and rescue teams and K-9 units, have searched the area but Allen has not been located.
