Samuel A. Moore

Samuel A. Moore, age 72, of French Creek, died on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at St. Joseph’s Hospital following an extended illness. He was born on September 15, 1950, in Harlan, KY, a son of the late Bryant F. and Hazel E. Reel Moore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother Orien “Bud” Moore.

He is survived by his wife Susan M. Moore; one daughter Lori Moore Jestice of Buckhannon, one granddaughter Natalie Jestice; two sisters:  Brenda Chidester of Rock Cave and Julip and husband Bill Spence of Hurricane, WV

Sam was an avid reader; he also loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, hiking, biking and fishing.  Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. 

Private graveside services and interment were held at the Beechtown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
