Sam’s Pizza wins first-quarter title in Bob Cupp Memorial Golf League

TENNERTON – Sam’s Pizza claimed the first-quarter title in the Buckhannon Country Club Bob Cupp Memorial Golf League standings.

Sam’s Pizza finished the first quarter with 114 points after defeating High Point Construction by a 21 ½-18 ½ score.

Custom Cabinets finished second in the first quarter with a 23-17 victory over Hank Ellis Insurance with 111 points.

Feola’s Flowers placed third with 105 points after downing Lisa Cain Edward Jones by a 22-18 score.

The other match of the week was Highland Landscaping defeating First Community Bank by a 24-16 score.

Sam Nolte of Sam’s Pizza won Low Actual honors with a 38 and Low Net honors with a 31.

Man arrested for DUI after February crash on Route 33 causes juvenile to suffer brain bleed
