BUCKHANNON – Sam’s Pizza, after being tied for first place last week, slipped into the top spot this week in the Bob Cupp Memorial Golf League despite a loss in Wednesday’s action.

Sam’s Pizza lost a 20 ½-19 ½ decision to High Point Construction but moved into first because First Community Bank, who was tied for the lead last week, lost a 21 ½ -18 ½ verdict to Hank Ellis Insurance.

Sam’s Pizza now has 113 ½ points while First Community Bank has 112 ½ points.

Sunset Graphics moved from fifth place to third place with 110 ½ points after a huge 28-12 win over Lynx WV.

Custom Cabinets dropped one spot from third to fourth after settling for a 20-20 tie with Lisa Cain Edward Jones with 104 ½ points.

The other match of the week was Feola’s Flowers and Highland Landscaping battling to a 20-20 tie.

Chris Brady of First Community Bank claimed Low Actual honors with a 35 while James Dean of High Point Construction brought home Low Net honors with a 30.
