Russell Ray Davidson

Russell Ray Davidson, 89, of Rock Cave died at his home on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018.

He was born Feb. 8, 1929, at Kanawha Head a son of the late Dana Thomas and Agnes Helmick Davidson.

He was united in marriage on Oct. 16, 1948, to Ruth V. Gregory Davidson who survives at Rock Cave. In addition to his wife he is survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one son Ronnie Davidson; five brothers:  Junior, Esker, Ford, Ralph and Tom Davidson and one sister Della Phillips.

Mr. Davidson was a graduate of Buckhannon High School and was a retired truck driver.  He was a member of the Rock Cave Masonic Lodge #81 A.F. &A.M. He attended the Wilsontown United Methodist Church.

The family has honored his wishes for cremation and memorial services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel with Pastor Charles Morrison officiating.  Graveside services will follow at the Gregory Cemetery at Gregorytown with the Rock Cave Masonic Lodge #81 A.F. & A.M. conducting masonic graveside rites.
