Roy Clayton Summers Jr.

Roy Clayton Summers Jr., 75, of Big Bend Ridge went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 22, 2020. 

He was born on October 27, 1944, in Upshur County a son of the late Roy Clayton Summers Sr. and Dolly Jessie Humphrey Summers. 

He is survived by one daughter Jeannie Marie and husband Christopher Wayne Burr of Arcadia, Fla. and one son Bobby Lee Summers of Charleston; two grandchildren who he loved more than anything: Samantha Maria Burr and Christopher Wayne Burr, Jr.;  three brothers: Andrew and wife Anne Summers of Kentucky, Ted and wife Kathy Summers of Buckhannon, and John Summers of Buckhannon; four sisters: Helen Summers and husband John Johnson of Buckhannon, Janet Lough of Buckhannon, Lena Oldaker of Weston, and Emma Cutright of Buckhannon; and 19 nieces and nephews.    

In addition to his father and mother he was preceded in death by four brothers: Basil Humphrey, David Summers, Jerry Summers and Russel Summers, and one sister Rebecca Flannery.

A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
