Rodney Lynn Phillips

Rodney Lynn Phillips, age 72, of Buckhannon, WV, died Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at his home.

He was born July 15, 1951, in Buckhannon, a son of the late Clinton and Madaline Smith Phillips. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Donovan Phillips.

He is survived by one daughter, Rodnitta Miller and husband Tim of Buckhannon; three grandchildren, Dorian, Alaina and Lynden Miller all of Buckhannon; one brother, Autry Phillips and wife Grace of Buckhannon; two sisters, Carolyn Grove and Brenda Shannon both of Buckhannon and several nieces and nephews.

Rodney was a hard worker and a humble man. He never met a stranger, becoming friends with almost everyone he met. Rodney was a loving father and grandfather; he loved them unconditionally.

Friends will be received Monday, August 28, 2023, from 12 Noon until 2 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Ed Lowther officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Union Cemetery in Buckhannon.
