Robert Bruce Wright

Robert Bruce Wright, age 72, of Buckhannon, WV, died Friday, June 6, 2025, at Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown, WV.

He was born December 7, 1952, in Buckhannon, a son of the late Archie and Beulah Sothen Wright. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Wes Myers.

He is survived by his companion, Connie Talbott of Elkins, WV; four children, Kim Myers of Elkins, Herb Wright and wife Sarah of Monrovia, MD, Carissa Phillips and husband Christopher of Buckhannon and Roberta Lantz of Fairmont, WV; six grandchildren, Joseph Wright and Hunter Lantz both of Morristown, TN, Logan Lantz and Madison Lantz both of Fairmont, and RaeAnna Hyre and Brenson Phillips both of Buckhannon; one great-grandson, Wesley Lantz of Morristown; one sister, Icie Harrison and husband Rob of Wirtz, VA; three brothers, Donnie Wright and companion Carol Workman, and David Wright and companion Barbara Reed all of Buckhannon and Denver Sothen of MD; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Wright worked for S.W. Jack Drilling for numerous years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching the birds.

Friends will be received Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Mt. Union Cemetery in Buckhannon.
