Post season tournament underway for Summer Basketball League

The Upshur County Summer Basketball League postseason tournament kicked off at West Virginia Wesleyan College, with several upsets and high-scoring performances in both Division I and II as playoffs continue this week.

BUCKHANNON – The Upshur County Summer Basketball League began their postseason tournament on Monday and Tuesday of this week at West Virginia Wesleyan College.

In Division I, in the play-in game, Loudin Construction defeated B-U JV Ball Hogs by a 93-77 score and in first round games, No. 7 JF Allen Co. upset No. 2 Power Alley CrossFIt, 83-52, No. 3 TLM Management beat No. 6 B-U Varsity Ball Hogs, 61-59, and No. 4 High Point Construction downed Go-Mart, 74-58.

In the Division II play-in game, On Point Athletics beat Celebrate Recovery BU, 61-45, and in first round games, No. 7 Leaf & Little upset No. 2 Fadeaway Barber Shop by a 54-47 count, No. 6 Country Roads upset WV Split Rail by a 67-56 score and No. 5 Prestige Elite Logistics downed No. 4 Sam’s Pizza, 62-59.

The playoffs will continue throughout the week.
