Robert “Bob” Jay Eubank Sr.

Robert “Bob” Jay Eubank, Sr., 77, departed this life on Monday, October 26, 2020, at United Hospital Center in Clarksburg, W.Va.

He was born on December 6, 1942, in Barbour County, W.Va., a son of the late Clarence and Nina Eubank.

Mr. Eubank is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Eubank; four children, Robert Eubank and wife Rachel of Fairmont, W.Va., Dee Swiger an husband Kevin of Ormond Beach, Fla., Kimberly Linger and husband Steve of Buckhannon, W.Va. and Charley Eubank and wife Stacie of Greenville, Ohio; his grandchildren who he loved with all his heart, Jacob, Mary, and Elijah Eubank of Fairmont, Gabriel Eubank of Morgantown, W.Va., Matthew Damberville of Brooklyn, N.Y., Jalyn Riggleman of New York City, Christian Swiger of Ormond Beach, Fla., Sean Swiger of Littleton, Colo., Tyler, Nicholas and Logan Groves all of Buckhannon, Caleb, Claire, Anderson and Oliver Eubank all of Greenville, Ohio; two great-granddaughters, Harper and Belamie of Louisville, Ky.; one sister, Vonda Hamner; two sisters-in-law, Sharon Eubank and Bert Eubank; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Eunice Campbell and four brothers, Jess, Arnold, Danny and Sammy.

Mr. Eubank retired from surface mining as a heavy equipment operator.

Mr. Eubank was a husband, father, grandfather and mentor to many. He was a loving person who enjoyed making all those around him happy and smile with his wonderful “dad jokes”.

He was a Christian by faith and attended Faith Tabernacle and Independent Word of Life Church. He will be missed by all.

Friends will be received Saturday, October 31, 2020 from 11 a.m. to noon at the graveside in Heavner Cemetery. A graveside service will be held at noon with Pastor Guy Ware officiating.
