Rev. Paul Lee Waugh

Rev. Paul Lee Waugh, 76, went home to be with the Lord, on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at the J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. 

He was born on August 7, 1944, in Kanawha County, a son of the late Lemon Brady and Nancy Hudson Waugh.  On June 4, 1965, he was united in marriage to Donna G. Wilson Waugh, who preceded him in death on November 30, 2017. 

In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by two sisters:  Charlotte and Della; and two brothers:  Jack and Tony. 

He is survived by three sons:  Roger Balser and wife Wanda of Crawford, Michael W. Waugh and wife Tammy of Clarksburg, and Rodney Waugh and wife Tina of Crawford; seven grandchildren: Josh Balser, Brianna McMillion, Michael Brady Waugh, Leah Shingleton, and Aaron, Isaac, and Ashley Waugh; seven great grandchildren and two on the way; two brothers: Rick King and Brady Waugh; Rebecca Robinson, whom he thought of as a daughter; and his beloved dog Deacon.

Rev. Waugh was an evangelist and devoted his life to preaching the Gospel and ministering to those around him. He was the former pastor of the Duffy Full Gospel Church and had currently been serving as the pastor of the Meadowbrook Full Gospel Church, as well as producing a radio ministry program.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 15, 2021, from 4-7 p.m. at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel. A graveside service and interment will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at 11:30 a.m., at the Chestnut Flat Cemetery, with Michael W. Waugh officiating.
