Raymond Charles Gilbert, 79, of Buckhannon died Sunday, March 9, 2025, at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport.
He was born in Baltimore, MD on October 23, 1945, a son of the late Raymond and Edna Brilhart Gilbert. In addition, he was preceded in death by one son, Robert Gilbert and one sister, Barbara Whaley.
He was united in marriage on September 13, 2002, to Sandra Elaine Bennett Gilbert who survives in Buckhannon. He is also survived by numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Denny Earhart of Pittsburgh, PA.
Raymond retired from the United States Navy after twenty years of service.
The family honored his wishes for cremation. There will be no services.
