Ralph’s Furniture and Pre Played Media win playoff games in summer basketball league

TENNERTON – The Division 1 second round playoff contests of the Upshur County Summer Basketball League were played Friday with a pair of games.

In the first second-round game, Ralph’s Furniture downed KBAM Builders by a 64-57 score as Jordan Haywood scored a game-high 31 points for Ralph’s Furniture while Jadyn Stewart had a team-high 24 points for KBAM Builders.

The other game saw Pre Played Media edge Sam’s Pizza by a 61-59 score as Rye Gadd led Pre Played Media with 23 points while Jaden Westfall scored a team-high 18 points for Sam’s Pizza.

Ralph’s Furniture will now play Pre Played Media Tuesday in the league’s Division 1 final at 6 p.m.

Action will pick back up Monday as Division 2 will begin their second round as TKS Contracting will meet CEC at 7 p.m. while On Point Athletics will face Blades & Fades in the other second round contest at 8 p.m.
