Ralph Richard Andrew Sr.

Ralph Richard Andrew Sr., 86, of Heaston Ridge died on Friday, September 18, 2020, at his home following a brief illness. 

He was born at Heaston Ridge on August 8, 1934, a son of the late Troy Harvey and Marguerite Boggs Andrew. 

He was united in marriage on April 4, 1953, to Almetta Friend Andrew, who preceded him in death on January 24, 2019. 

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was also preceded in death by one granddaughter Jacquie Andrew; one grandson Chris Spriggs; one great granddaughter Abigail Spriggs; two brothers:  Eugene and Jim; and one sister Ruth “Tookie” Riley. 

He is survived by four sons:  Ralph Andrew, Jr. and wife Alice of Heaston Ridge, David Andrew and wife Sue of Curry Ridge, Michael Andrew of Heaston Ridge, and Adam Andrew and wife Dena of Shepherdstown, W.Va.; nine grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

Mr. Andrew worked as a superintendent for a road construction company, he had a love for the timbering business and was recognized as a Legendary Logger.

He was a member of the Heaston United Methodist Church.

Private services for the immediate family will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2020, with Pastor David Jessie officiating.  Interment will follow in the Heaston Cemetery.
