Ralph Prunty

Ralph Prunty, 71, of Volga, W.Va., died Monday, June 1, 2020, at Holbrook Health Care Center in Buckhannon, W.Va.

He was born August 27, 1948 in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Jesse Evans Prunty.

On April 24, 1971 he married Charlene Milburn, who survives.

Also surviving is one son, William Prunty and wife Carisha of Bridgeport, W.Va.; one daughter, Tonya White and husband Stacy of Volga; one grandson, Brodie Prunty of Bridgeport, W.Va.; two granddaughters, Janie Prunty of Bridgeport and Madison White of Volga and two brothers, Tom Prunty of Rock Cave, W.Va. and Steve Howell of Buckhannon.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one infant sister.

Mr. Prunty served the US Army and was a member of the V.F.W. He enjoyed crosswords, fishing and loved his grandchildren and dogs.

Friends will be received Thursday, June 4, 2020 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Burial will follow in Buckhannon Memorial Park in Buckhannon. The Upshur County Honor Guard will conduct Military Honors at the graveside.
