Purlly Joe “Pudd” Simmons

Purlly Joe “Pudd” Simmons, age 81, of Buckhannon, died on Monday, April 29, 2024, at Holbrook Health Care Center.

He was born on February 21, 1943, a son of the late Emmit Jeremiah and Nona Bell Tenney Simmons. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Tenney Simmons; daughter, Jenna Simmons; brothers: Donald, Richard, and James Simmons; sisters: Delma Howes, Reta Murphy, and Clarabelle Friend.

He is survived by one son, Joe Simmons; two grandchildren; brother, Sherwood “Woody” Simmons; and two sisters: Junie and Mary McClure; and several nieces and nephews.

At the request of the deceased there will be no services and burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery at Czar, WV.
