BUCKHANNON — The public hearing originally scheduled to take place today, Thursday, June 3 regarding the City of Buckhannon’s adoption of an ordinance that would increase water rates has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, June 17.

The public hearing on the third reading of Ordinance 451 will now take place at 7 p.m. June 17 in council chambers at Buckhannon City Hall, 70 E. Main St. The ordinance, which establishes new water rates and charges for water distribution services provided by the city’s Water Board, passed its first and second readings at previous Buckhannon City Council meetings and if passed on third reading, will go into effect Aug. 1, 2021.
