UPDATE: The Upshur County Courthouse and Courthouse Annex will also be closed from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. due to Tuesday’s outage. They will reopen at 2 p.m. and close at their normal times.

According to an email from Mon Power, on Tuesday, May 7, there will be a planned power outage in downtown Buckhannon as they upgrade their facilities. The service interruption will last from approximately 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The outage will affect approximately 85 customers in the vicinity of Chancery Street, E Main Street, Madison Street, S Kanawha Street, S Spring Street and Traders Alley.

In the event of inclement weather the planned outage will be rescheduled for Wednesday, May 8 or Thursday, May 9.
