Phyllis Jean Hollen

Phyllis Jean Hollen, 82, of Buckhannon, entered her heavenly home on June 2, 2023, at St. Joseph’s Hospital Nursing Care Facility surrounded by her children and siblings.

She was born in Ten Mile, WV on August 22, 1940, the daughter of the late Dorsey Glenn Bennett and Beatrice Irene Welch Bennett. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death on November 2, 1982, by her former husband Russell E. Hollen, to whom she was united in marriage on March 11, 1957; an infant sister Dortha Mae Bennett; and one brother Paul Eugene Bennett.

She is survived by five children: Glenn Hollen and wife Debbie, Debra Gould and husband Sonny, Kevin Hollen and wife Louise, Donna Bennett and husband Tom, all of Buckhannon, and David Hollen and wife Mary of Dillsboro, IN; siblings: Ronald L. Bennett, Darrell R. Bennett and wife Patty, Allen Wayne (AW) Bennett, Sandra Elaine Gilbert and husband Ray, and Ladora (Doty) Reynolds; grandchildren: Gwen (Shawn) Beathard, JR (Melissa) Hollen, Joseph (Lora) Hollen, Matthew (Chassidy) Hollen, Rusty (Jacki) Hollen, Tiffany (Kells) Dean, Samantha Hollen, Desiree’ Hollen, Nathan Bennett, Harmony Hollen, and David Hollen; and great grandchildren: Seth Beathard, Blake and Audrey Hollen, Grayson and Harley Hollen, Trace and Georgia Hollen, and Iris and Elowen Dean.

She was a member of the CEOS and enjoyed reading, puzzles, sewing, crocheting, quilting, and crafting. Most of all, she was sincerely devoted to her children and grandchildren and loved spending time with them.

The family will receive friends at the Heavner & Cutright Funeral Chapel on Monday, June 5, 2023, from 2-5:00 PM. The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM, on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at the funeral chapel. Interment will follow in the Heavner Cemetery.
