Paul B. Smith, age 57, of French Creek, WV, died May 17, 2026, at the J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV, after a motorcycle accident.
He was born November 30, 1968, in Buckhannon, WV, a son of Paul W. Smith of Buckhannon and the late Elsie L. Knight Smith.
In addition to his father, he is survived by one daughter, Courtney Bonner and husband Joseph of French Creek; three grandchildren, Xander and Elsie Stotler and Paxton Bonner, all of French Creek; four siblings, Robin Wilson and husband Alvin of Gaines, WV, Janice Day and fiancé Howard Feola, Joseph Smith and wife Misty, and Glenda Smith and fiancé Hip Zickefoose, all of Buckhannon; best friends, Dan Devericks of Coalton, WV, and Carl Lewis of French Creek; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Mr. Smith was the owner of Paul’s Collision Repair. Paul loved spending time with his grandchildren; they were the love of his life. He enjoyed being outdoors, camping, old cars, and fast trucks.
Friends will be received Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 11 AM to 2 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Pam Powers Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Rupert Cemetery.
