Patricia I. Pugh

Patricia I. Pugh, 76, of Buckhannon, departed this life on Thursday, January 7, 2021, at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, W.Va.  

She was born October 21, 1944, in Buckhannon, W.Va., a daughter of the late Orval and Mabel Cochran Cogar.  She was united in marriage on September 19, 1964, to the late Dallas K. Pugh. 

In addition to her parents and husband, Patty was also preceded in death by one son Kermit Pugh; two sisters:  Norma Cogar Brooks and Ruth Cogar Swick; and four brothers:  Norman Junior, Jimmy Lee, Darrell Glenn, and Delmas Ray Cogar. 

She is survived by three daughters: Lynda and husband Steffon Scott, Brenda and husband Timothy Cogar, Susie Herndon and Anthony Rumley, all of Buckhannon; two special daughters Beth Huddleston of French Creek and Donna Reed of Tallmansville; seven grandchildren: Steffany Moats, Bethanie Cogar, Vanessa Samples, Lexi Herndon, Elizabeth Scott, Trey Herndon, and Kristy Cvechko; two great granddaughters: Chandalea Moats and Paisley Tenney; and two great grandsons: Robbie Moats and Kendal Blaisier. Patty is also survived by very special people in her life: Dorsey Owens of Buckhannon, Berta Thompson of Buckhannon, and lots of other friends very special to her heart, as well as her grand-dog, Bella.

Patty enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, family gatherings and loved her gospel/bluegrass music. She was a member of the Victory Apostolic Church.  She loved her time spent as a Grandma at Tennerton Elementary; she loved the Tennerton Tigers as they were her own grandchildren. She also enjoyed BINGO with her daughter Brenda, enjoyed her vacations with her daughter Susie, and attending church with her daughter Lynda.

She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, a second mother, and a great friend to so many.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 11, 2021, from 5-8 p.m., at the New Life Tabernacle in Buckhannon.  The funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at 11 a.m., at the New Life Tabernacle with Pastor Jason Allen officiating.  Interment will follow in the Big Bend Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral chapel to assist the family with funeral expenses.
